How do I know that it is a recession?

Today is my baby's second birthday.

This afternoon I took my kids to Baskin Robbins to buy an ice cream cake for my 2-year old's birthday. My 7-year old son asked me if Baskin Robbins ice cream is "reasonably priced". Kids are funny... and intuitive.
